Day 7: Let’s Go Murray!

Once again we woke up bright and early and went to the St. Marnock’s and St. Andrews. It was a lovely church and Kirstie had the opportunity to speak about our partnership with Kilmarnock Tennis Club. We also were shown there set of 30 bells which were absolutely amazing. Immediately after church we drove to Joanne’s house where we all cheered on Andy Murray. After that we drove David Knox (the tennis coach) to his house in Ayr. We had some very interesting conversations with him as he showed us his little town. That night we stayed in Stevenston at a house some friends let us borrow. It was a huge blessing to spend some time together as a team. -Josh

Mum was given the awesome opportunity to speak in one of the host family’s church about partnerships. This came completely from God, and really gave her the chance to challenge the people of the church to get involved with the Kilmarnock tennis club. Some sweet friends gave us their house for a night, and as a team we were able to wind down, have some prayer time, and laugh a lot because that is what always happens when we are together. It gave us a chance to chill a bit and breath, because when on a mission trip, you are being attacked spiritually by Satan, mentally by less sleep, and physically by drowsiness. We also sat down together and made a list of all the blessings that God had done in the week before. -Emma

I had a blast at the Murray/Fed match. Being together with the Boys (who are all so passionate about tennis and Andy Murray) was fantastic fun. We had the house shaking with our chants and rocked the neighborhood with our cheering. Some generous friends offered us their house in Stevenston while they were away on holiday. We gratefully took the opportunity to stay together as a team, catch up, fellowship together, and of course, laugh. We had such a hilarious time together. -Trey
